You can strew flowerpowder in small holes and cracks, but a real challenge is to try to grow some rock flowers on a wall. Old walls have more chance of succes then new walls. New walls have no lime in the cement anymore, to keep the wall moisty. This makes it more difficult for the flower seeds to grow.

You make flowerpowder out of dry clay chumps. For graining you can use tools like hammers, universal grinders or like in the picture a stone grinder. The function of the clay powder is like lime to contain water.

List of supplies:

1. Grinder. Hammers, universal mills, stone grinders, sandpaper.
2. Clay. Use leftovers from clay or leave some small pieces to dry.
3. Dry soil. Buy at garden shop or from your own garden or from the forrest.
4. Fertilizer. You can use manure, but fertilizer is easier to mix and more effective.
5. Flower seeds. Rockflowers: poison ivy,  yellow coradalis, cymbalaria muralis and more. Here is a link to check out some flowers.
6. Storage. You can make a small long envelope or use a cigar tube for effective strewing.

1. Grind the dry clay chumps untill you have fine grain like coffee powder. Use small and thin pieces of dry clay to make it crush more easily.

2. Add dry soil and the seeds and mix untill a nice brownish shade appears. The soil needs to be entirely dry to keep the powder from clumping.

3. In this picture I’m using a small envelope to contain the flowerpowder. Of course you can use anything else as long as it’s pocket size and easy to strew around with.

Flowerpowder is like gun powder but then from grinded dry clay. Its mixed with a little bit of dry  earth, fertilizer and flower seeds. The powder is specially intended for brick walls, where you can strew in holes and cracks. I recommend to use seeds from rock flowers, sempervivum and poison ivy, which even grows on new walls. When using flowerpowder be sure nobody sees you.

To find the flowerbombers and their hideouts, you need to look for: pigeons on squares, ducks in the parks, the notorious and vanishing sparrows in our gardens and the starlings on the train stations. Spread the bread balls all over the city to give flora and fauna a chance to remain in our cities.

Flowerbomber is a very relaxing way to spread flowers througout the city. Simply by using birds to do the job for you. You only need a piece of bread, mayzena and the special seeds. Then go for walk and feed the birds. They’ll fly and spread the seeds like a real bomber.

List of supplies:

1.  Bread. Don’t use cheap 50 cent bread, the birds don’t eat it.
2.  Mayzena or oil use this to give the bread balls a compact structure.
3.  Flower seeds with ant sandwich For example: yellow corydalis, dicentra cucullaria and siberian springbeauty.

1. Rip the bread in small pieces. One sandwich is good for about thirty bread balls

2. make the bread a little wet. If you use too much water the bread gets to mushy.

3. Mold and turn the bread emulsion to small and compact bread balls.  Make different sized balls. For instance a pigeon can swallow a ball of 1 centimeter in ones. But for a sparrow its better to make them 0,5 cm. Never make the balls bigger then 1 cm in diameter.

4. Roll the bread balls through a little mayzena. This is for making a fixed layer to keep the bread ball from falling appart. You can also use oil, which is beter for the digestion of the bird.

5. When using little seeds you can role a few into the bread ball. But when they’re bigger you have to add the seed(s) while molding the bread emulsion. Leave the bread balls drieing to give them strenght.

Flowerbombers refers to birds and insects who help spreading flowerseeds in our cities. But because the streets are better cleaned these days,  the cities become less attractive for certain animals. This is why I made little bread balls with special seeds in it. These are flower seeds with an ant sandwich. This is the shell of the seed which gets eaten while the seed stays behind.

The cities are full of flowerbeds. The soil of these flowerbeds are soft and easy to penetrate with the flowermine. Other good targets are your neighbours boring gardens. The planting of the flowermine is done within a few seconds.

You don’t need much to make the flowermine. important is to fold in the right way to get a strong and sharp point. There is no particular flower seed needed. But you can also use small flower bulbs in the flowermine.

List of supplies:

1. Paper The size of the paper is 1/4 of an A4. Best is to use natural paper.
2. Dry soil. Use clay with a fine grain to make the job easy. Available at most hobby shops.
3. Dry soil. Buy at garden shop or from your own garden or from the forrest.
4. Fertilizer. You can use manure, but fertilizer is easier to mix and more effective.
5. Glue. To fix the folded line. I use buscuit glue again, because it’s fast and natural.
6. Flower seeds. For this bomb you dont need special seeds. But you can also use small flower bulbs.

1. Rip the A4 sized paper in 4 parts.

2. The folding starts from the middle of the paper to get the strongest and sharpest result.

3. Keep on folding till the end.

4. Put a little glue on the end part. Again you can use biscuit glue for fast drying.

5. And close the flowermine. This is the paper shell for the flowermine.

6. Fill the paper shell with dry soil, fertilizer and the flower seeds. Keep the seeds in the top of the flowermine. When you use flower bulbs, you have to put them in the bottom.

7. Fold in the topside with a little glue.

8. Close the flowermine as in the picture. This way you can lay your finger easily on the top when you push the flowermine in the earth.

This makes it easy to pierce the earth with only one finger. The flowermine is suitable for all the flower beds in your city and your neighbourhoud. Flowermine is easy and fast to plant and can be worn around undetected.
